allorca has become well known for its extensive wine region and local wine-makers and in recent years, local gin-distilleries have been making waves as well. But for some reason, craft beer has been slow to capture the hearts of Mallorcans. It’s hard to know why, as, in our opinion, there is nothing better than a cold beer on a warm day. Recently, thanks to a few intrepid brewers and entrepreneurs, craft beer is making its way across the island and we could not be more pleased. Here we highlight the island's finest breweries. From the innovative creations of Tramuntana Brewery in Palma to the creative, small-batch brews of Forastera in Alaro, Mallorca's breweries are setting new standards in the beer world. There’s no better way to enjoy Mallorca than with a pint of its finest craft beer in hand.

Sa Cerviseria

Sa Cerviseria, based in Cala Rajada, was established in 2016 and began distributing its locally brewed beers in 2017. The brewery offers a range of distinctive beers, including the fruity Lluna de Sang, the gluten-free Sa de Sempre, the smooth Capdefava NEIPA, the aromatic Sa Bona IPA, the robust Sa Forta Wee Heavy, and the complex Vi d'Ordi Barley Wine. They have indoor and outdoor seating, so you can indulge no matter the weather, making it a great spot to meet up with friends and enjoy some delicious beer, good food, and great company in a relaxed environment. They also have live music on some nights and host the occasional quiz night.

Mallorca Beer Company

Mallorca Beer Company blends over 300 years of family tradition and love for Mallorca with modern brewing techniques. They started off as a microbrewery in 2013, and have grown exponentially since then. Mallorca Beer Co. now distributes its beers all over the island, and since their move to Campanet in 2023, they now offer an even broader range of exceptional craft beers. Lovers of beer are invited to explore their state-of-the-art facilities and savour their diverse beer selection through a guided tour or a relaxed drink in the Bar & Taproom, and if you aren't a fan of beer, we are sure you will be after your visit!

Sullerica

Sullerica, based in the town of Sóller, captures the essence of its surroundings in every brew. Known as "LA CERVEZA DE SÓLLER," their beers are inspired by the local orange groves that flourish in this region. Sullerica began with two varieties of beer and now offers a diverse range of 25 beers including the floral and fresh Sullerica Original Ale, the dark and toasty Sullerica Fosca, the refreshing Sullerica Blanca wheat beer, the bold and herbal Sullerica 1561 IPA, and the unique Sullerica Valenta Session IPA with rose petals. Their production grows yearly while maintaining an artisanal and environmentally friendly approach.

Forastera

Forastera, a family-owned brewery in Alaró, Mallorca, began its journey in 2013. Founded by Sven, whose passion for brewing sparked during a winter of recovery when he taught himself with a home-brewing kit, Forastera has grown into a celebrated name in local craft beer. 100% of their malt is organic and 75% of their hops comes from Spain. The brewery offers a range of unique and flavorful beers such as Ocre, summer beer, Sa Roqueta Mallorca Pilsner, and Mallorca Pale Ale. Forastera also offers brewery tours, beer tastings, yoga and beer, and event catering.

Cerveceria Tramuntana

Located in Santa Catalina, Cerveceria Tramuntana offers more than a dozen on tap craft beers, including their own in-house brews. Opened during the pandemic, this local watering hole has become a favourite for residents and visitors  for its welcoming atmosphere and commitment to craft beer. Tramuntana Brewery has a fun, welcoming feel about it, with good music, leather barstools and wooden tables. Highlights include local favourites such as Tramuntana Pale Ale and the robust Tramuntana Dark Lager. Visitors can also learn about the brewing process and enjoy a bite to eat.
